A preparation plan does not need to be complicated. It should be realistic, measurable and flexible enough to fit around school, work and other commitments.

You could begin by recording:

  • Your intended test month
  • The number of weeks available
  • How many sessions you can complete each week
  • Your current Section A strengths and weaknesses
  • Your confidence with timed essays
  • When you will attempt full timed practice
  • How you will review mistakes and measure progress

A simple weekly pattern might include:

  • One session focused on careful passage analysis
  • One timed Section A practice session
  • One essay-planning or writing session
  • One short review of errors and lessons learned

Avoid measuring progress only by the number of hours spent. Improvements in accuracy, timing, reasoning and writing clarity are more useful indicators.

Use this discussion to share your plan, record progress or ask other members for constructive suggestions. Do not reveal private school or application information.
