About the community

LNAT.co.uk Student Community is an independent peer-support forum for aspiring law students. It is not operated by, endorsed by or affiliated with the official LNAT administrators, participating universities, UCAS or any university.

By accessing the website, registering an account or contributing content, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Community Rules.

Accounts

You must provide a working email address and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.

Do not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade moderation or allow another person to use your account.

If you are under 18, you should use the community with the knowledge of a parent or guardian where appropriate and take particular care not to disclose personal information.

Peer discussion only

Content posted by members represents their personal opinions and experiences. It is not official LNAT guidance, university admissions advice, legal advice, professional educational advice or counselling.

Always verify examination arrangements, deadlines, entry requirements and admissions information with the relevant official source.

Academic integrity

You must not request, publish or distribute:

  • Leaked or confidential test material.
  • Questions or content recalled from a live examination where disclosure is prohibited.
  • Work produced to be submitted dishonestly as another personโ€™s own.
  • Material that infringes copyright or another partyโ€™s rights.

General discussion of preparation methods, practice techniques and constructive feedback is welcome.

Member content

You retain ownership of original content you post. By publishing it, you give LNAT.co.uk permission to store, display, reproduce and technically process that content as required to operate and promote the community.

You are responsible for ensuring that your contributions are lawful and that you have the right to publish them.

Public visibility

Forum discussions are generally public and may eventually be indexed by search engines. Do not post anything you wish to keep private.

Deleting an account may anonymise existing contributions rather than removing whole discussions. Content quoted or copied by other members may remain.

Acceptable use

You must not use the website to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against another person.
  • Publish unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, hateful or sexually explicit content.
  • Disclose another personโ€™s private information.
  • Distribute malware or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Send spam, repetitive advertising, referral codes or unauthorised affiliate links.
  • Manipulate voting, reputation or community features.
  • Disrupt the website or interfere with another memberโ€™s use of it.

Moderation

Topics, replies, profiles and accounts may be reviewed. Content may be edited, moved, closed, hidden or removed when reasonably necessary.

Accounts may be warned, restricted, suspended or terminated for serious or repeated breaches. Urgent action may be taken without prior warning where safety, security or legal compliance is involved.

Moderation decisions are made in good faith but cannot be guaranteed to identify every inaccurate, harmful or inappropriate contribution immediately. Use the report function or email hello@lnat.co.uk if something requires attention.

Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the community available and useful, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Features may be changed, suspended or withdrawn, and maintenance may occasionally make the website unavailable.

We do not guarantee that member-generated information is complete, accurate or current.

Links and commercial disclosure

The website may link to third-party websites and resources. LNAT.co.uk is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Some links may be affiliate links. When this applies, LNAT.co.uk may receive a commission without increasing the visitorโ€™s purchase price. Affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, LNAT.co.uk is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on member-generated content, third-party websites, temporary unavailability or use contrary to these terms.

Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Necessary cookies may be used for login, security and essential forum functions.

Changes

These terms may be updated when the community, its services or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts with applicable jurisdiction may hear disputes arising from the use of the website.
